Srinivas New Sour Tomatoes NP4 and NP5 Tomatoes have evolved from wild viny small fruited, colorful, fleshy berries to the present day large fruited beef steaks, long keepers, firm, fleshy, blocky oval , 'rubber' processors. Our endeavor to provide high yielding hybrids with custom made shapes and sizes to cater to industrial specifications has resulted in the layman/ common man talking of the present day tough, tasteless tomatoes flooding the market and shandies. Our yearning to deliver a high yielding hybrid to the producer while simultaneously trying to incorporate the 'lost taste' of the yesteryears has seen the release of two hybrids with an acidic taste. NP4 : High yielding tall determinate hybrid with profuse branching. Fruits are moderately firm, oblate in shape, weigh 80-90gms. Striking green shoulder, glossy red fruits in addition to the acidic taste makes it an ideal sambhar tomato. NP5 : A tall vigorous high yielding tomato hybrid. Fruits weigh 80-90gms, have a light green shoulder and an attractive red color on ripening. Good firmness with moderate levels of acidity make it a good hybrid for the traditional S22 and Pusa early dwarf markets.
