Farmers repent for not selecting NS 295 Watermelon:

The markets are flooded with them as people relish the cool sweetness of watermelons in a scorching summer.

While most growers are raking in the moolah, farmers of Ankola taluk, Uttar Kannada district, who usually produce the largest quantity of the fruit with its hard green cover and juicy red interior, have this year become disgruntled bystanders, watching others grow rich while their stunted and disfigured melons have few takers.

Field Days in gujarat:

Grand field days were organized by Mr. Mukesh patel – Regional Manager in Gujrat and demonstrated the benefits for farmers, if they opt for NS 801 and NS 810 okra hybrids.
Ramesh Bhai Patel and Tulsinghbhai Chaudary, were very happy farmers, who have trialed these hybrids and certified that major advantages with these hybrids are tolerant to Yellow Vein Mosaic virus. In the same field there were checks/market leaders, where more than 50% of plants were infected with the virus. The farmers also mentioned that the plants were heavy yielders and the fruits fetched better prices in the wholesale market.

NS 592 has proven to be an excellent hybrid in the acidic tomato segment and within a short span of two years since its launch; it has obtained an excellent response from across India.

Mr. Sunil Kumar Singh – Regional manager – Uttar Pradesh organized a grand field day on NS 592, where more than 200 farmers have visited and understood the benefits NS 592 had to offer.
